Training
Being one of BC’s leading electrical contractors, we work directly with the leading industry trainers and are proud to be partners with the Electrical Joint Traning Committee and Western Joint Electrical Training Society.
Union Partners
- The EJTC, Western JETS, and industry sponsors are recognized as national leaders in promoting the status of women in the electrical trades. IBEW 213, one of our union affiliates, is the home of the BC Centre for Women in the Trades. Together, we are committed to building a respectful workplace where everyone can succeed.
- The Western JETS is responsible for the training of the electrical specialists employed by all signatory contractors of IBEW Local Unions 230, 993, 1003, which covers Vancouver Island, Northern BC, and Yukon and the Kootenays.
- We believe that through continuing education, our people will achieve the highest levels of quality, skill, value and integrity in the electrical industry in British Columbia.
- Through these partnerships, Sasco is committed to removing apprenticeship barriers and increasing the completion rates among under-represented groups in the electrical trade.
- Programs such as the “Alternate Pathways to the Electrical Trades” program for people from Indigenous backgrounds and “Workplace Alternative Trades Training” help us accomplish these goals.
